BOOK REVIEW|| The Accidental Apprentice - A MUST READ!

Image taken from:Amazon

From the moment my sister said  I would like this book, I couldn't wait to read it. Still getting over the feeling of leaving the characters in the book i had just finished. I picked up this book and immediately felt like I'd  been tossed into a action packed and well executed Nollywood movie.

I had gone through the motions of emotions and genres. The comedy and laughs, the drama, suspense, horror, thriller and tragedy, all in the first 118 pages. From the main character's simple life as a showroom girl  to her family's unforeseen tragedy, her encounter with an unusual proposal, and her heroism left me with my jaw hanging low that flies could nestle within, and my eyes bulging at every page  like springs in a cartoon.

The climax  and traumatic end of a sadistic psychopathic revenge was something unforeseen and unimaginable. For me, this book is partly a life lessons guidebook and a very humbling one at that. I find it is more deserving of a mere five-star rating and, and one I think should definitely be made into a movie. A movie  not directed by just anyone, but someone like Danny Boyle, because I'll be buying a ticket to see that.

Whilst reading, there were some many lovely quotes. But these I found interesting and believed to be worth sharing:

"There is nothing more reassuring than a friend who just simply refuses to be rattled, who can always be relied upon, who is always there when you need him"

"Courage is not the absence of fear: it is the ability  to act in spite of  fear and overwhelming opposition"

"Many people think that wisdom comes with age, but that's not true. Wisdom comes with a combination of  intuition and values, from making choices and learning from them. it comes from the ability to handle failure and rejection"

"The most common fear in a CEO, is the fear of failure" - This one particularly stuck with me  because as some of you many know I am an entrepreneur, and i felt  like it was speaking to me.

"Love does not give the option of  choosing blood relationships, but it always gives the opportunity to repair it"

"Life doesn't always give us what we desire, but eventually it gives us what we deserve."

I hope you enjoyed reading this review as much as I enjoyed writing it.
