ViNTaGe Convert

Hey my lovelies....

Hope you had a lovely weekend!
Mine was amazingly busy with work, A LOT OF WORK and deprived sleep, however I'm fully recovered now with that glorious early Sunday lie in which resulted into full blown SLEEP! that lasted till Monday morning, it kinda left me feeling H.A.P.P.Y in the A.M. Also had a mini panic attack over the weekend as  I lost my phone in my house, which I later discovered under a pile of books( Don't ask?! Sleep makes me do funny things I can't remember).

Moving on swiftly as to why this post is being made. I have a CONFESSION! to make

                                                I AM A VINTAGE CONVERT!!!!!!

What they say  is actually true. The power of that box in your living room which you're so addicted to ( for some), actually has the power to influence your life, and I am a testimony! (don't know if that's a good thing for this scenario, but still it works).
I've been following this show on Channel4 called "This Old Thing: The Vintage Clothes Show which is presented by this amazingly witty and attractive lady called 'Dawn' who can make vintage look absolutely FLAWLESS!!!!!!!. Basically, the long and short of it all  is that over the course of the series she finds people who wouldn't  buy anything other than High street clothes and have negative perceptions on vintage clothes, she takes them vintage shopping and tries to change their views and make them see that vintage can actually be very tasteful.

Watching the few episodes that have aired, I would say I was completely SOLD!!!!. The idea of having something so old that can be revamped and styled in a different way in a different era and at the same time be so unique that you can walk down the street or go a party and not give a flying fudge that someone in the room would have the same outfit as you just had me completely won over to the other side. Adding to that, most vintage clothes are  very colourful and just give off  that OOMPH! vibe.

I can't credit this show enough, IT'S JUST THE BUSINESS !!!

Going to Spitafields Market in Shepherds bush, which mostly has vintage stalls also got me so amped up,  so much so that these days I find myself looking up vintage stores online. Given the fact that I'm not one that loves going into shops to rummage through racks and racks of clothes, for me that's a lot of work, except when there are exciting SALES or actually stuff I want to get in person, then, and only then am  I willing to make that sacrifice to the shops. Anyway  in my surfing  of the www, I came across some amazing finds that I'll totally rock and some vintage stores that have me feeling a sort of  VINTAGE GLAM kinda way.

Because I love guys you so much I'm willing to share. Here are the links to some affordable vintage stores i found, they're all UK stores.

And also some finds  I ABSOLUTELY LOVE AND WANT!!!!
