Happy New Year / Quick Fitness Update

Happy New Year Folks!

How were your holidays?

Well mine was not without its ups and downs, panic attacks, fears and sadness and happiness... Lets just says December wasn't my month but I thank God its January.

 As we well know, the 2015 that has be much awaited is finally at our doorstep and is waiting to deliver to us all of its awesomeness and positivity, and hopefully no sadness and Debbie downing news. To say the least we are already on Day 5 of January, soon before you know it its Valentines day , Summer and then BAM! another 365 days gone... 2016.

But not to jump the gun or anything here, I'm guessing all you lovely people had an amazing 2014, obviously  not  without its tremendous struggles; many loved, lost, failed but got back up again, felt sad, started something they didn't finish, some because of the inability to do so and some out of just bare boredom. Is that you? Well lets just say 2015 has given you another opportunity to be open again, to heal, to forgive and to push even harder this year for that thing you want to achieve, YES! it will be hard but at the end it'll be well worth it.

As we are on the topic of the "NEW YEAR", I can imagine many people will have  new year resolutions. Losing weight being the number one on the list #JanuaryGymRush.... pahaha, I can imagine the struggle for gym equipments this time period, still that's by the way. Personally, I am not particularly opting for resolutions  this year, simply because, although yes, all well and good they give you something to look forward to, but to me its just a way of setting yourself up not necessarily  for failure, but giving yourself added headache and stress, knowing that its going to fade away when the going gets tough, but then that's just my opinion

"GO WITH THE FLOW" is what ill prescribe, and knock it back every time when you feel like you've hit a wall, or in the famous words of my humble workout buddy in my mind

For me, 2015  is a year of many events, just the thoughts of them have me feeling like a kid a candy store. But they do not come without putting in the work. Working out and seeing changes in my body however is the one things that have me most excited this year, second to graduating of course.

Started Insanity Max 30 today, and I must confess I thought it'll be a walk in the park, having tried Insanity itself and only made it past Month 1 and quit say two years ago and then  Jillian Michaels 30 day Shred Focus T25, the whole nine yards from Alpha to Gamma with running and healthy nutrition ( alongside tremendous Cheat-meals). I thought oh.. its only 30 mins, surely its not that ridiculous.

 Shaun T is a MONSTER!,  a hunky,yummy, kick ass piece of monster. But that doesn't go without saying that he'll motivate the fat out of you.I  am  willingly accepting that I am a legit  Beachbody Fan, as i am  slowly building up my collection of home workout DVD's, simply because I have a love/ hate  relationship for the gym, still it delivers 100%

Back to the matter at hand, I started insanity max 30, i thought i had it in the bag,
LIES! LIES! LIES!, Shaun T kicked my ass to the curb, in  7mins:10secs I was bent  over myself, sweating tremendously,  gasping for breath and  feeling like my insides were going to come spilling of my mouth any time soon. The level of fitness i thought i had was diminished in seconds but as a sweetheart that he is, Shaun-t  pushed me to go further. But of course being a dangerously hard workout and blowing my mind beyond measure,  i took a heck of a lot of  breaks in-between my reps.

But i  will not feel sad or discouraged by it because practice makes progress right?!. Besides, you can only be your worst enemy. Just got to keep pushing, another 59 days with good nutrition for life till i feel like a rock-star in my skin .
